Kids Ministry Coordinator

Our church... is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. We believe church should be a place where believers in Jesus and skeptics can stand side-by-side to study truth and ask tough questions. We blend teaching and worship with art and technology to create a service where you can experience the message of Jesus in practical and life-changing ways.

Kids Coordinator.. is an interim part time 10 hour per week part time position will partner with the Kids and Youth Pastor to ensure Kids Crossing is a safe and fun place where kids can live out the 3 Es. This role focuses on weekend ministry execution and weekday administrative support, freeing the Kids and Youth Pastor to prioritize pastoral care and leadership responsibilities.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for Jesus Christ, the vision of the Crossing, as well as Kids Crossing, and for building authentic faith in children that lasts a lifetime.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Weekend Ministry Execution

• Oversee the setup, check-in, and classroom readiness each weekend
• Assist in volunteer onboarding, Team Time, and equipping of volunteers to lead their rooms
• Support and troubleshoot during weekend services (supplies, technical problems, behavior needs, etc.)
• Follow up on any family or volunteer needs that arise during the weekend

Weekday Administrative Support

• Assist in weekday prep when needed
• Help setup and execute large events and classes such as Back to School Bash, MOLO, Child Dedication, Move-Up Weekend, Christmas and Easter, Deck the Halls, etc.
• Fill any necessary gaps when Kids and Youth pastor is gone for vacation or for any Youth events

Education/Training and Certificates

• Experience working in children’s ministry, as staff or volunteer
• Knowledge of child development

• Passionate about their relationship with God
• Baptized after making the thoughtful decision to follow Christ
• Regard the Bible as God’s final authority in all areas of Christian life and desire to be wholly obedient to it Wholeheartedly affirm The Crossing’s Statement of Faith, including our view on Baptism
• Live a lifestyle consistent with scriptural principles
