FLEX Direct Care Professional Developmental and Brain Injury Division (DBIS)

Position Summary:We’re looking for inspiring team members who enjoy bringing out the best in people and are especially motivated to work with adults with Developmental Disabilities. Our DBIS staff are professional team members responsible for supporting each individual’s right to live a safe, enjoyable, meaningful life at home and in the community. As cooperative team members, we support environments that foster creative opportunities for the changing needs and desires of the people we serve.
Position Responsibilities:Work in multiple residential locations (Behavioral and/or Brain Injury) assigned by Director.Assist residents with ADL's (which may include the use of adaptive equipment); dining guidelines/protocols.Help prepare meals, clean, do laundry, grocery shopping, and help keep the home pleasant and comfortable.Transportation to/from appointments, community events, etc.Complete daily shift notes, data tracking, and any other individual record keeping that may be assigned.Assist with the development and implementation of individual support goals.Administer medications (MAP Certified).Remain current on agency certifications/trainings.Other programmatic tasks assigned by the Program Director/Site Manager.Qualifications:Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 6 months; and acceptable motor vehicle record.Medication Administration Certificate required.CPR/First Aid.Proactive Approaches to Behavioral Challenges (PABC Restraint Certificate).Physical ability to perform the requirements of this position and ensure residents' safety.Basic computer/office skills.Background check (CORI).Compensation Breakdown:
$21/hr: Base $18/hr + $2/hr MAP certification differential + $1/hr FLEX differentialBenefits:
