Job Title: Staff Accountant / Senior Staff Accountant
Location: near Agoura Hills, CA - this role is on-site daily
Salary: $80k - $90k (depending upon experience level)

Position Overview:Our growing real estate client is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Staff / Senior Staff Accountant to support the accounting team and assist with general ledger, monthly close, bank reconciliations, and financial statements. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone experienced looking to expand their accounting skills with a great team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with accounting transactions and discrepancies
- Manage banking activities including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and treasury assistance
- Partner with accounting team on monthly, quarterly, and annual close process through preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Work with audit team to help with year‑end audits
- Create financial statements, cash forecasting, and financial analysis for investor reports
- Collaborate with other departments like finance, operations, and legal to support initiative and resolve issues
- Support and create process improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field required
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounting required; preferably within the real estate, financial services, or construction industries
- Hands‑on knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures required
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, organization, and accuracy
- Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Good communication skills for liaising with vendors and field units
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established policies and procedures
