Help shape the next generation of semiconductor test and silicon photonics platforms.
Teradyne is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our centralized Mechanical Engineering organization supporting advanced automatic test equipment (ATE) and emerging silicon photonics technologies. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex multidisciplinary programs involving mechanical design, thermal management, precision structures, optical integration, and system-level architecture.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with electrical, optical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineers to develop innovative solutions from concept through production. You will help define mechanical architectures, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and contribute to the successful delivery of products that support some of the industry's most advanced technologies.
We are looking for engineers who enjoy learning, collaborating, and solving complex technical problems. Successful candidates are comfortable navigating evolving requirements, bringing structure to uncertainty, and working with others to develop thoughtful and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of mechanical architectures for advanced ATE and silicon photonics systems.
- Develop solutions involving thermal management, precision mechanical systems, packaging, and system integration.
- Support teams through important technical decisions, tradeoff analyses, and risk mitigation activities.
- Help resolve complex engineering challenges where requirements may be evolving or incomplete.
- Partner across engineering disciplines to develop robust, manufacturable, and scalable products.
