Kennel Technician Petal Animal Clinic

About the Role

As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Providing daily care for boarding pets, including feeding, walking, cleaning, and monitoring.
• Maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary kennel areas.
• Bathing and basic grooming (nail trims, ear cleanings, and anal gland expression).
• Assisting veterinary staff with handling pets and ensuring their comfort.
• Monitoring for changes in behavior or health and promptly reporting concerns.
• Delivering excellent customer service by treating every pet as if they were your own.

• You are uncomfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
• You don’t enjoy cleaning (a big part of the job is keeping pets and spaces clean and safe).
• You have trouble being on your feet for most of the day or lifting.
• You aren’t a team player—this role requires strong collaboration and communication.

Full‑time (30 – 40 hours a week)

Shifts between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
