Duties / Responsibilities Assist in monitoring the implementation of the UNHCR programme, including delivery of assistance items and monitoring of infrastructure.
Assist in administrative tasks such as preparing reports and meeting with authorized personnel during field missions.
Serve as interpreter in routine information exchanges and contribute to liaison activities, responding directly to routine queries.
Collect data and other information relevant to UNHCR and report to the supervisor accordingly.
Maintain regular contacts with local authorities and implementing partners as requested by the supervisor.
Assist in the reception, registration, and provision of assistance to persons of concern to UNHCR, in coordination with implementing partners.
Follow up on the overall situation of persons of concern in camps and other accommodation areas, reporting findings.
Liaise with local authority counterparts, partners, and populations of concern.
Direct incidents and problems to the supervisor when they cannot be resolved at the assistant level.
Support the identification and management of risks, and seek to seize opportunities impacting objectives in the area of responsibility.
Ensure risk‑based decision making in the functional area of work; raise risks, issues, and concerns to the supervisor or relevant colleagues.
Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Experience:
2 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma, or 1 year of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

CL‑Multi‑stakeholder Communications with Partners, Government & Community
Language Requirements Knowledge of English and Italian (UN working language of the duty station). Minimum overall ability is at least B2 level in each language.
Additional Information Driving licence mandatory.
Legal authorization to work in Italy required.
Position does not require functional clearance.
