Senior Accountant

Special Works Division Full-Time

Location: East Ahmadi, Kuwait

Experience: Minimum 5–7 years

UNIGULF is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management reports, and ensuring that the company's financial processes are properly controlled and documented. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a growing industrial and engineering environment.

• Manage and oversee daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and general ledger accounts.
• Monitor company expenses, cash flow, petty cash, and operational expenditures.
• Prepare budget versus actual reports and provide explanations for significant variances.
• Support the preparation and monitoring of departmental and project budgets.
• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, equipment, and depreciation.
• Review supplier invoices, purchase documentation, payment requests, and supporting documents before processing.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on customer payments.
• Assist with payroll-related accounting and employee expense settlements.
• Maintain proper accounting records for individual projects, including cost tracking and project expenditure.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide the required financial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Kuwait accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation for all financial transactions.
• Support management with financial analysis, cost control, forecasting, and other financial information when required.
• Assist in improving internal financial controls and accounting procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with experience in Kuwait.
• Previous experience in an industrial, engineering, construction, maintenance, or contracting company is preferred.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting/ERP software.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good knowledge of budgeting, cost control, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
  Arabic would be an advantage.
