Library Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Library Assistant to join our team in Al Ahmadi. As a Library Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations of the library, including organizing materials, helping patrons locate resources, and maintaining the overall appearance of the library. This is a contract position with a salary of 1200$, open to Canadians or Filipinos who are willing to work in Al Ahmadi.

English language skills are not required for this position.

• Assist patrons in locating and checking out materials
• Organize and shelve books, magazines, and other resources
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the library space
• Help with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
• Provide basic reference assistance to patrons
• Process new materials for circulation
• Assist with setting up displays and exhibits as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in a library or similar setting preferred
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills; ability to interact effectively with patrons and co-workers from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with library systems preferred but not required
