Librarian Indian Nationals in Al

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable librarian to join our team at a prestigious library in Al Ahmadi As a librarian you will be responsible for managing the librarys collection assisting patrons with research and finding resources and organizing programs and events to promote literacy and reading

• Manage the librarys collection by selecting organizing and cataloging books journals and other materials
• Assist patrons with research inquiries and guide them to relevant resources
• Develop and implement programs and events to promote literacy and reading among the community
• Maintain the librarys physical space by ensuring books are properly shelved and the space is clean and organized
• Collaborate with other librarians to develop new services or improve existing ones
• Keep up-to-date with new technologies trends and resources in the field of librarianship
• Provide support for technology use within the library including troubleshooting computer or printer issues
• Train library staff on best practices for customer service and information literacy

• Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a librarian in a public or academic library setting
• Knowledge of library classification systems eg Dewey Decimal Classification is required
• Excellent communication skills to assist patrons of all ages with their research needs
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members
• Proficiency in using technology such as online databases search engines social media platforms etc
• Fluency in English is preferred but not mandatory

The salary for this position is 1400$ per month

This job is located in Al Ahmadi Kuwait Indian nationals are preferred but candidates from other nationalities may also apply

• Full-time job with a 5-day work week Sunday to Thursday
