Overview

Mechanical Piping Construction Lead Engineer position. We are looking for candidates to fill this role with extensive experience in QA/QC, welding inspection, coating inspection, and mechanical completion activities in Oil & Gas projects.

• QC Procedure, ITP, and ITR preparation.
• Vendor and subcontractor QC procedure & ITPs review and approval.
• Welder qualification witness and approval.
• Site and shop welding and coating inspection.
• Coordination with subcontractor QC, TPI and client for inspection activities.
• Review of material test certificates and material receiving inspection of piping material, structural steel, equipment and skid, etc.
• Monitor the documents related to the work, including drawings, welding procedures, welder qualifications, and project specifications.
• Monitor welding activities as per approved WPS and project specifications.
• Line walk, QC punch issuing, hydro test package review and witness.
• Coordinate with construction and subcontractor QC for completion of corrective actions for non-conformance (NCR) and punch lists.
• Conduct audits on subcontractors and contractors and prepare audit reports.
• Update QC document lists and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Verification of reinstatement for piping and equipment.
• Insulation inspection for hot & Cold service piping and equipment.
• Equipment and vessels internal inspection prior to box-up, skid and vessel fabrication, stage-wise inspection.
• Final MRB review and approval.
• System walks for mechanical completion, issuing punch lists and final verification.
• Vendor and construction ITRs review prior to mechanical completion certification.
• Prepare and review all necessary QA/QC inspection documents and final dossier.
• Quality issue meetings with subcontractors and vendors to resolve issues.
• Support the commissioning team during pre-commissioning and commissioning stage inspection of equipment, SAT, line walk and completion package review.
• Project dossier preparation/review and submission to client.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in Oil & Gas including Welding inspector and Coating inspector certification.
• Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas.
• Have transferrable residency and can join immediately.
