Reporting Manager
Title:
Engineering Manager
- Work with design teams to establish appropriate equipment arrangements and piping layouts.
- Prepare original designs, specifications, and reports, and coordinate with drafters/designers and supervising engineers.
- Review drawings, models, and submittals; maintain familiarity with piping, pipe stress, and pipe supports.
- Ensure the level of design work aligns with the complexity of construction tasks, maintaining an appropriate balance between design and implementation costs.
- Ensure feedback from supervisors and/or superintendents confirms that constructability issues are adequately addressed and that work packs contain sufficient and relevant detail.
- Conduct site investigations and prepare reports.
- Prepare detailed designs in conjunction with engineers.
- Apply Quality Assurance requirements and work within the relevant guidelines of the business unit.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with OH&S procedures.
- Advanced engineering drafting and checking capability.
- Ability to produce 2D drawings using computer-aided design systems.
- Ability to produce 3D drawings using computer-aided design systems.
- Demonstrated experience working in the Middle East project environment.
- Experience working in a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environment.
- Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 15 years of total experience post graduate studies.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Design Engineer or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with a contractor or in a comparable delivery model.
