Position: urgently required manpower

We are a multi‑disciplined engineering & construction management firm based in Kuwait and are looking for a Safety Engineer for our current project.

Qualifications
  • B.E. (Mechanical)
  • Minimum 10‑12 years of experience in the oil & gas sector or similar industries
  • Preferred certifications:
    Industrial Safety Diploma, NEBOSH International Diploma, CSP/CMIOSH/CRSP, ISO 9001/ISO 45001/ISO 14001 audit certification, QRA/HAZOP‑HAZAN training
Responsibilities
  • Assist the company in managing OH&S requirements for contract scope of work.
  • Coordinate with company HSE representatives to address OH&S issues related to the contract and ensure compliance with company HSE regulations, procedures and safe work practices.
  • Keep self updated on company’s OH&S safe work practices, procedures and regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure implementation of the approved contract’s HSE plan.
  • Prepare and conduct trainings to contract personnel on topics such as Work Permit System, hazardous chemicals safety, PPE, and conduct safety induction for new employees.
  • Arrange and conduct regular HSE meetings for field supervisors, ensuring attendance of supervisors, foremen and unit representatives.
  • Conduct jobsite inspections, report unsafe acts and conditions to responsible engineers/supervisors for immediate corrective action.
  • Ensure area/crab supervisor conducts daily toolbox meetings with all personnel, provide appropriate topics and follow‑up on HSE concerns addressed.
  • Participate as a member of accident/incident investigation teams and follow‑up on recommendations.
  • Participate in Critical Task Risk Assessment of critical activities.
  • Guide, advise and inform line management on HSE violations as per KNPC safe work procedures.
  • Audit contractor equipment certificates to ensure they are validated and safe for use, including third‑party certificates.
  • Respond and undertake duties in accordance with contract and company ERP, evacuation plan and site emergency preparedness.
  • Maintain regular communication with contract and company supervision teams to advise on OH&S matters, participate in various HSE committee meetings as required.
  • Organize campaigns and other safety promotional activities to enhance awareness and inculcate a safe‑work culture.
  • Prepare and submit safety performance statistic reports for CLIENT and company records.
  • Demonstrate effective performance and visibility in site/field.
