- Minimum 10–12 years in Oil & Gas sector or similar industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial Safety Diploma
- NEBOSH International Diploma
- Professional qualifications such as CSP, CMIOSH, CRSP
- Certified Auditors for ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 / ISO 14001
- Certified training on QRA / HAZOP-HAZAN studies
– Roles & Responsibilities
- Assists the company in managing OH&S requirements on the contract’s scope of work. Coordinates with company HSE representatives to address OH&S issues related to the contract and ensures compliance with company HSE regulations, procedures and safe work practices.
- Keeps up-to-date on the company’s OH&S safe work practices, procedures and regulations.
- Monitors and ensures implementation of the approved contract’s HSE plan.
- Prepares and imparts trainings to contract personnel on various OH&S related topics such as the Work Permit System, Hazardous Chemicals Safety, PPE, etc. Conducts safety induction and orientation for new employees.
- Arranges and conducts regular HSE meetings for field supervisors, ensuring that the supervision team or representative from each unit/team attends.
- Conducts inspection of the jobsite, reports any unsafe acts and unsafe conditions to the responsible engineers/supervisors for immediate corrective action.
- Ensures that the area/craft supervisor conducts daily toolbox meeting with all personnel on attendance, provides appropriate topics and initiates follow‑up on HSE concerns addressed during these meetings.
- Guides, assists and participates as a member of accident/incident investigation teams and follows up on the recommendations and compliance.
- Participates in critical task risk assessment of critical activities.
- Guides, advises and informs line management on issues related to HSE violations in line with KNPC safe work procedures/practices.
- Audits contractor’s equipment certificates to ensure they are validated and safe for use, including third‑party certificates.
- Responds and undertakes duties in accordance with contract and company ERP, evacuation plan and site emergency preparedness.
- Maintains regular communication with contract and company supervision teams to advise them on OH&S matters. Participates in various HSE committee meetings as required.
- Organizes campaigns and other safety promotional activities to enhance awareness on safety issues and inculcate a safe work culture at the workplace.
- Prepares and submits safety performance statistic report as needed for client and for company records.
- Exhibits effective performance and visibility in site/field.
