Follow company rules and regulations including leave policies, working hours, shift schedules, and safety instructions, as well as Authority/Ministry requirements.
Prepare job lists and time schedules for planned down-day activities in coordination with the Chief Engineer – Electrical/mechanical & Automation and arrange external service agencies or OEM service engineers for specialized jobs.
Prepare annual shutdown job requirements with the Chief Engineer – Electrical/mechanical & Automation and arrange external manpower or contractors and required spares for major jobs.
Plan and arrange required spares, services, and contractors for annual shutdown activities.
Possess thorough technical knowledge of EAF-based steel plant equipment.
Study system and equipment drawings and select appropriate tools for special or critical jobs in coordination with the Chief Engineer – Electrical/mechanical & Automation and follow up with the Purchase Department for procurement.
Coordinate with Purchase to locate alternate brands or manufacturers for required commercial items.
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and safety teams to align maintenance schedules with operational priorities. Prepare annual electrical/mechanical and automation spares, consumables, and tools lists in coordination with the Chief Engineer – Electrical/mechanical & Automation.
Prepare purchase requisitions for spares, consumables, and tools according to required schedules in coordination with the Chief Engineer – Electrical/mechanical & Automation.
Follow up with the Purchase Department to support timely procurement of spares, consumables, and tools.
Report backlog status and planning performance and recommend areas that may require improvement.
Coordinate with the Chief Engineer – Electrical/mechanical & Automation and the Purchase department to explore alternate or local vendors for spares and follow up on actions that may reduce maintenance cost.
Coordinate preparation of work orders, spare parts requests, and electrical/mechanical documentation.
Perform other tasks and duties assigned by the superior.
Coordinate with the Chief Engineer – Electrical/mechanical & Automation in compiling maintenance budget inputs for spares, services/contractors, modifications, improvement projects, and civil/building requirements.
Ensure full compliance with all safety directives issued by Management.
Audit electrical/mechanical records, test reports, and complete work orders to verify compliance with standards.
Develop multiple suppliers for each major spare/item who are technically suitable.
