- Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive procurement experience, with significant leadership experience in EPC projects. Proven experience in procurement for Substation and Overhead Transmission Line projects is essential.
- Develop, implement, and lead the organization's procurement strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, ensuring cost optimization, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Direct and oversee all procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, contract review, contract administration, and contract implementation.
- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and contractors to secure the most competitive pricing, favorable commercial terms, optimal payment conditions, and contractual protections for the organization.
- Ensure procurement activities are executed in a timely, transparent, and cost-effective manner while maintaining quality, technical, and project requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring contractual obligations and organizational interests are adequately protected.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team by setting performance objectives, conducting performance reviews, identifying training needs, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, finance, legal, and other stakeholders to support project execution and business requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, or any other recognized engineering discipline.
- Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS) is an added advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP ERP, particularly MM (Materials Management) and PM (Plant Maintenance) modules.
- Excellent understanding of EPC procurement practices, contract administration, and supply chain management.
