- Performs all Purchasing activities as per the job level.
- Sending enquires to suppliers; follow up with vendors for quotation in line with project requirements (price & delivery).
- Complete Evaluation of Commercial offers & Preparation of Comparative Statements.
- Co-ordination with Engineering Dept. for Technical evaluation of vendor offers.
- Preparation of Purchase Contracts.
- Preparation of Letter of Credit Applications
- Follow up with vendors for drawings & documents and timely delivery of materials.
- Co-ordination with sites on material receipt as per the requirement.
- Co-ordination with finance department to ensure timely payment to suppliers.
- Co-ordination with Project Management with respect to delivery/ completion schedules.
- Ensuring Project Insurance Covers.
- Maintain Purchase department documents as per ISO procedure.
- Co-ordination with QC department for Inspection of materials before delivery to site.
- BE/B.Tech - in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
- 6-8 years of experience in procurement or in EPC company
- Candidates with experience in Substation and Overhead Transmission Line projects are preferred.
- Good knowledge in SAP ERP system
