Senior Wireline Operator

Responsibilities

• Assist Field Engineers and ensure safe, efficient wellsite operations under crew chief direction.
• Handle hand tools and ready‑box, cleaning equipment after each job.
• Maintain operating cell readiness and report to crew chief.
• Operate winch unit, monitoring tension, cable speed, depth, spooling, depth control and weight indicator systems.
• Prepare well for service operations: align logging unit, install sheave wheel, thread cable, and connect tools.
• Load and unload required tools and instruments; perform weak‑point calculation and selection.
• Participate in post‑job maintenance checks of tools and equipment.
• Maintain and repair primary tools and service units according to the maintenance program.
• Assist in cable maintenance and identify required instrumentation.
• Perform cell audits with the crew chief.
• Conduct pressure tests under crew chief supervision.
• Change heads, rope‑sockets, and shooting bridle, documenting changes as required.
• Observe safe‑working practices, wear safety equipment, and report hazards immediately.
• Maintain tools, shop, and equipment in good condition; keep work area clean and orderly.
• Drive assigned vehicle and transport units, logging trucks if licensed, safely.
• Study the assigned learning material in the Operator section of the training manual and perform the required services at the location.
• Execute yearly individual KPIs and other duties as assigned.
• Support the training of Operators and Junior Operators.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness; keep work areas safe, clean, and orderly at all times.
• Update rig books and maintain paperwork (e.g., z‑chart) in good order.
• Follow company HSE policies; support efforts to minimize risks and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Conduct hazardous‑situation audits and identify unsafe acts.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of company and client information.
• Ensure journey management is completed for each mobilization.
• Participate in company HSE/Q‑related functions.

• High school diploma or higher.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in wireline logging operations or equivalent experience.
• Alternatively, 12 years of experience may satisfy the requirement.
• Valid light driving license; heavy driving license preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude; understanding of basic mathematics and electricity.
• Knowledge of Windows‑based systems; ICDL preferred.
• Physical ability to respond immediately to emergency situations.
• Willingness to work under varying conditions and in remote locations.
• Ability to perform under time constraints.
• Good communication skills.
• Team‑work and mentoring abilities.
• Positive attitude toward health, safety, and the environment.
• Basic English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
