Mechanical Superintendent - Deep Drilling

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent – Deep Drilling (Residential) with extensive drilling equipment maintenance experience for our client in Kuwait.

The Mechanical Superintendent – Deep Drilling will oversee mechanical maintenance activities for deep drilling land rig operations
, ensuring equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and safe operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical maintenance of deep drilling land rigs
, with a strong focus on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and team leadership.

• Supervise mechanical maintenance and repair activities across drilling rigs.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Monitor equipment performance and drive reliability improvements.
• Lead troubleshooting, failure analysis, major overhauls, and repairs.
• Ensure availability and effective management of critical spare parts.
• Support initiatives to minimize Non-Productive Time (NPT).
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, maintenance procedures, and audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Lead and develop mechanical maintenance teams and contractors.
• Coordinate with Rig Managers, OEMs, and service providers.

• Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of drilling equipment maintenance experience.
• 3+ years in a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor/Superintendent role.
• Extensive experience with deep drilling land rigs, 3000 HP and above
  .
• Strong knowledge of drilling equipment maintenance and reliability practices.
• Experience with CMMS systems is preferred.
• Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving skills.
