CNC Lathe Operator - SML

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer and Operator to manage our SML 500e machine. The candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathe machines to produce hydraulic and pneumatic seals with precision and efficiency. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.

• Operate and program the SML 500e CNC lathe machine to produce hydraulic cylinder seals, pneumatic seals, and brake seals.
• Work with various materials such as polyurethane, POM, silicone, PTFE, N , Viton, & other Material.
• Select appropriate profiles for seals based on pressure and function, and choose materials based on temperature requirements.
• Utilize G Code & M Code programming and SML software for CAM programming.
• Handle customer inquiries regarding pricing and technical specifications of products.
• Operate and maintain all measuring instruments to ensure precision and accuracy.
• Produce special profile jobs and manage thread cutting as per API standards.
• Order materials and manage stock levels for the CNC machine, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available for production.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels.

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer and Operator.
• Proficiency in using CNC machines, especially the SML 500e.
• Strong skills in G Code & M Code programming and CAM software.
• Experience with producing various types of seals and working with a wide range of materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with customers.
• Knowledge of API standards and experience with thread cutting.
• Experience in ordering materials and managing inventory for CNC machining operations.
