Environmental Health & Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Engage with business unit leadership to drive shared accountability and continuous improvement in HSE performance and culture, integrating HSE into business decisions and management systems.
• Drive a compelling sense of urgency across product lines to identify HSE hazards, develop and implement effective safety critical barriers, and validate them.
• Identify applicable HSE regulatory requirements across product lines and take actions to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with the broader HSE function to deploy practices and standards, accelerating performance improvements.
• Represent the company at external industry or community events.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in HSE or Engineering from an accredited university.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an HSE role, preferably in Oil and Gas/ Energy industries or Manufacturing.
• Be knowledgeable about Kuwait Occupational Safety & Health regulations and standards, and experienced working with relevant regulatory agencies.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders including contractors, vendors, and customers.
• Approval as HSE by KOC is a plus.
