Sikich is seeking a Tax Senior Associate with 5-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate must have experience in US GAAP general accounting. The candidate will be collecting tax forms and tracking client paperwork, identifying potential tax credits, and producing tax reports, and guiding assigned staff in their tasks.

Job Responsibilities
Prepare and review all types of U.S. Income Tax Returns.
Ensure that clients comply with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Keep up to date with tax changes and industry trends by reading professional publications.
Participate in training and development to hone skills of peers and self.
Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings.
Be willing and able to service multiple client engagements at the same time.
Ensure that reports sent to Manager/Sr Manager are accurate and sent within scheduled time frames.
Know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice.
Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives.
Communicate in an effective and structured manner with other team members
Requirements for Successful Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Master’s Degree in Accounting with US Taxation experience.
Inter CA, CA, CPA, or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification (or progress towards certification) – preferred.
Self-motivated with strong work ethic.
Organizational skills to provide client reports within scheduled time frames.
Proactive approach to accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of Quick Books™ and other US accounting systems.
Proficiency in intermediate Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
