Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patient medical histories and diagnostic imaging to determine treatment suitability
Design personalized radiation treatment plans using advanced planning software
Collaborate with medical physicists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists to ensure precise delivery
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as needed
Educate patients and families about treatment options, risks, and side effects
Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case discussions
Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with safety standards
Engage in clinical research and stay updated on emerging therapies
Required Skills & Competencies
Deep understanding of radiation physics, oncology, and radio biology
Proficiency in using linear accelerators and treatment planning systems
Strong communication and empathy for patient-centered care
Analytical thinking for complex treatment decisions
Team collaboration across oncology disciplines
Commitment to continuous learning and innovation
Qualifications
Requirement Details Education MBBS + MD/DNB in Radiation Oncology Certification Board certification (e.g., MCI, NMC) Experience Residency + 1–2 years clinical experience
