Key Responsibilities
The Director will provide academic and administrative leadership to the School of Management. The role requires a strategic mindset, excellent people management skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The Director will work closely with university leadership, faculty members, students, and industry partners to strengthen the school's academic reputation. The position also focuses on enhancing research, innovation, student engagement, and institutional effectiveness.
Provide strategic leadership for the School of Management and oversee the BBA programme.
Develop and implement academic plans aligned with the university's vision and mission.
Ensure compliance with UGC, AICTE (where applicable), NEP 2020, and accreditation requirements such as NAAC and NBA.
Lead curriculum design, review, and implementation using Outcome-Based Education principles.
Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and support faculty members and administrative staff.
Additional responsibilities include:
Strengthen industry partnerships for internships, live projects, guest lectures, and placements.
Promote research, publications, consultancy, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Monitor academic quality, student performance, and programme outcomes.
Manage departmental budgets, infrastructure, and resource planning.
Represent the School of Management in academic, industry, and professional forums.
Required Skills and Knowledge
The ideal candidate is an accomplished academic leader with strong experience in higher education management. The individual should demonstrate the ability to build collaborative teams, drive academic excellence, and establish meaningful industry relationships. A commitment to student success, ethical leadership, and continuous improvement is essential. The candidate should possess excellent communication and organizational abilities while effectively managing multiple institutional priorities.
Ph.D. in Management or a related discipline from a recognized university.
Minimum experience as per UGC norms, with significant teaching, research, and academic administration experience.
Strong knowledge of higher education regulations, accreditation, and quality assurance.
Proven leadership in faculty development, curriculum planning, and academic governance.
Excellent communication, leadership, budgeting, and stakeholder management skills.
