Role Purpose
Responsible for assessing the nutritional facts and ensuring accuracy wrt labeling laws, overall compliance as per food safety and regulatory requirements for the organization’s products. This role involves working closely with the formulation, marketing and regulatory team members to ensure accurate nutritional assessment.
Key Responsibilities
Assessing nutrition quality and putting together nutrition fact table for product portfolio
Scientifically accurate, evidence-based claim substantiation
Ensure label compliance as per country requirements/laws
Design of clinical studies
Translate complex nutrition science into clear, accurate, consumer-friendly language
Prepare, review, and submit nutrition and claim documents, product dossiers, and compliance reports.
Maintain records, databases, and ensure up-to-date documentation.
Generating insight-driven nutrition concepts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on business objectives
Key Deliverables
Timely support and output, accurate documentation, 100% compliance to legal and regulatory requirements
Preparation and maintenance of dossiers, database and product related documentation.
Proactive initiative in nutritional and claim recommendations.

Role Requirements:
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Biochemistry or Food/Dairy tech
Additional certifications in Regulatory Affairs are preferred or at least adeptness and experience with food regulations and laws.
Experience (Type & Nature)
3+ years of experience in nutrition + clinical and regulatory affairs, claim substantiation within FMCG or food industry
Experience in preparing NFTs, dossiers, monographs and end to end documentation
Functional Competencies
Knowledge of national and international food regulations and standards (e.g., FSSAI, Codex)
Expertise in nutrition, claims and clinical affairs
Familiarity with food product development and scientific/consumer relevant claims
