Data Science: AI​/ML​/Statistics

Position: Data Science: AI/ML / Statistics / OR
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and implement  operations research, statistical, ML & AI models  and algorithms for structured, unstructured text & image data.
Understand and run efficient analytic database queries, work with datalakes & warehouses.
Design, develop and implement data pipelines, APIs & agents using above models.
Understand MLOps for model & data pipeline for managing continuous development/improvement of predictive and prescriptive models to support decision-making software solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights and solutions.
Communicate complex analytical results clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels in the form of presentations, reports, notebooks & dashboards.
Understand and work within the information security framework and use necessary techniques for securing data on disk and in memory.
Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in the above tasks.

Skills required/desired
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python & R.
Ability to work with databases, including analytic databases, Graph DB, search DB etc.

Experience with AI, ML, OR & statistical techniques and algorithms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Experience with tools and technologies commonly used in the field.
Preferred knowledge & ability to work with opensource tools including (but not limited to) various Apache foundation projects.
Comfortable working on Linux.
Perform simulation studies.
Industry experience in data analytics, consulting, or related fields.
Develop APIs, agents.
Develop LLM based solutions (including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, model tuning).
Agentic workflow development.

Qualifications
Bachelors in engineering or Masters in Statistics/Maths/Economics or higher in a relevant field such as Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
