Senior IT Support Engineer – Audit & Compliance

Position: Senior IT Support Engineer –  Audit & Compliance
We are seeking an on-site experienced L2 Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support for our Client’s IT infrastructure in the pharmaceutical industry.

Core IT Support

Provide second-level technical support for users; troubleshoot hardware and software issues
Manage Active Directory (user lifecycle, GPO, security groups, access control)
Implement and monitor network security and switching
Deploy and manage MDM solutions for corporate and BYOD devices
Configure and maintain Windows Server environments (patching, security optimization)
Execute backup and disaster recovery operations & storage systems; monitor performance and capacity
Administer Microsoft 365 (mailbox, user accounts, email configuration)
Lead IT projects end-to-end; manage timelines and resources

User Access Management (UAM) Responsibilities

Manage the complete UAM lifecycle (creation, modification, review, suspension, deactivation) in compliance with SOPs, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Perform periodic user access reviews, privilege verification, and maintain documentation to ensure least privilege and segregation of duties.
Coordinate user access approvals and deactivation with system owners, process owners, and department heads.
Monitor privileged and administrative accounts and support audits, incident investigations, CAPAs, and change control activities.
Collaborate with OEMs, vendors, and system administrators on access configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
Ensure timely account deactivation for resigned, transferred, or terminated employees.
Support regulatory compliance (GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, cybersecurity) and contribute to SOP development and training materials.

IT Auditing & Compliance

• Support internal/external IT audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inspections

• Maintain audit trails and logs for critical systems (servers, databases, firewalls, backups)

• Conduct IT infrastructure audits (hardware inventory, license compliance, maintenance records)

• Support pharmaceutical equipment audits (lab instruments, manufacturing equipment)

• Document remediation of audit findings and non-conformances

• Participate in regulatory inspection readiness and corrective action tracking

• Maintain IT documentation (specifications, configurations, change logs, patch histories)

• Organize audit-ready evidence files (validation reports, IQ/OQ/PQ, change control documentation)

• Ensure proper retention and archival of audit evidence per regulatory requirements

• Support audit readiness reports and mock audit exercises

• Execute IT changes through formal Change Control procedures with impact assessment

• Implement controls to prevent unauthorized access, modification, or deletion of data

• Maintain audit logs and change documentation for all configuration modifications

• Support data integrity investigations and root cause analysis.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• 4-6 years in IT infrastructure support

• 2+ years in a Level 2 or advanced technical support role

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience

• Technical certification as per key responsibilities is mandatory.
