1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category 30083) to fulfil T&M
- Time and Materials (T&M) requirements. The Technical Welding Subject Matter Expert (SME) CO 108 shall be responsible for technical welding support as required for the site welding program. Areas of support shall be welding code interpretation relative to weld design, weld performance, NDE and Technical Welding Subject Matter Expert
- Construction Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services,  NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services
- Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and

Position Responsibilities:

Training Work with welding management to evaluate and determine personnel training needs

Develop welding code training and refresher programs

Perform training sessions

Support welder training / qualification testing

Design / Subcontract Specification Reviews Perform welding design / Subcontract specification reviews

Perform field walkdowns as required

Verify constructability and code compliance

Support project team design / subcontract specification review meetingsNDE / Inspection Perform and interpret Liquid Penetrant (PT) tests

Perform and interpret Mag Particle (MT) tests

Perform and interpret Ultrasonic testing for thickness (UT)
Perform visual weld inspections (in-process and final)
Interpret radiographs

Welding Field Support Develop welding inspection records

Document weld inspections

Welding problem evaluation and resolution

- Construction shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.  

The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

Working knowledge of national welding codes and standards, ASME Sect. VIII, Sect. IX, AWS, B31.3

Minimum ASNT Level II Inspection Certification      Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least 8 years of practical experience in the welding arena or Associate's degree in a technical discipline and at least 12 years of practical experience in the welding arena orHigh school diploma and 16+ years of practical experience in welding arena.
A 40-hour workweek is scheduled. SRR construction utilizes a 10 hour per day - four days per week schedule.
