Job location:

Aiken, SC. Salary range: $118,500 - $213,500.

• Manage and train subordinates on HSE activities for large-scale or multi-projects, including budgeting, staffing, and scheduling; prepare certification/classification programs and supporting HSE documents; coordinate and execute safety cases and support studies; perform Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Fire Protection Specifications (FPS), and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) as required by certification or regulatory entities.
• Provide guidance to business lines, project management, and Company organizations through interpretation and promulgation of HSE practices and procedures in relation to client requirements and current laws and regulations.
• Make decisions on engineering/scientific problems and methods related to HSE using advanced techniques within the field and related disciplines.
• Lead the implementation of HSE programs, including project site-based orientation, recognition and awards programs, to promote safety and productivity in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Run gap analyses to identify and address program gaps between Company practices, client requirements, and regulatory requirements to ensure project conformance.
• Provide leadership to initiate, foster and maintain HSE standards through Company and project wide programs to heighten awareness of safe and productive work environments.
• Adhere to and support Fluor s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Accredited four-year degree (or global equivalent) in applicable field and ten years of related experience, or fourteen years total experience if non‑degreed; some locations may have different qualifications due to local requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Job‑related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a time‑conscious manner.

• Proof of US Citizenship required.
• Serve as a Company representative to external HSE organizations.

• Advanced computer and software skills, including word processing, email, and advanced use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations.
• Ability to manage a medium to large project or multi‑project site.
• Demonstrated leadership skills including mediation abilities.
• Strong critical thinking/reasoning ability and effective public speaking/presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and a valid driver’s license if required.

Compensation Data:
Salary Range: $118,500 - $213,500.
