Job Overview

Operate assembly and testing machines in a safe and efficient manner according to the most current Quality System. Ensure machines produce quality parts at required production rates while maintaining safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

• Operate assembly/testing machines and processes to produce quality parts per customer specifications using Hubbell Power Systems Quality Operating Principles.
• Perform 100% trim and inspection; identify and segregate scrap.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs and adjustments to assembly/testing equipment.
• Complete daily paperwork, including hour‑by‑hour charts, part counts, and packaging.
• Maintain safety, quality, production, and 5S housekeeping standards.
• Assist/support other departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly; occasional lifting up to 44 lbs.
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and twisting.
• Exposure to noise, dust, grease, oils, and occasional fumes.
• Ability to work closely with others or independently.
• Protracted or irregular hours (shift work).

• High School Diploma or GED (work experience may substitute).
• Preferred:
  Prior manufacturing experience.
• Basic communication (reading, writing, verbal)
• Basic math at high school level
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting
• Good listening skills
• Hand tools knowledge/use
• Basic computer (PC) skills
