Title: Senior Manager, Material Flow & Inventory Lead
Location: Graniteville, SC
Pay Range: $103,844 – $168,747 annually
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Material Flow & Inventory Lead to drive our plant's end-to-end internal logistics strategy—from receiving and warehousing to line feeding, packaging, and inventory control. This role leads a cross‑functional team to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective material movement for complex, heavy‑equipment production.
Key Accountabilities- Lead material flow design and optimization for heavy components (weldments, castings, hydraulics, assemblies).
- Develop warehouse layouts, tugger routes, crane workflows, supermarket systems, and lineside delivery concepts.
- Oversee packaging standards, returnable container management, and supplier packaging compliance.
- Own plant inventory strategy, including safety stock, cycle counting, accuracy, and inventory health.
- Manage receiving, put‑away, picking, staging, and internal replenishment operations.
- Lead a team of engineers, analysts, and supervisors; build a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Drive logistics deliverables for new product introductions, layout changes, and automation projects.
- Track and improve KPIs across material flow, inventory, warehouse efficiency, and internal handling cost.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in material flow, logistics, or inventory management—heavy equipment or industrial machinery preferred.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Strong knowledge of lean logistics, warehouse operations, and material handling of large/oversized parts.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), layout tools (AutoCAD/Visio), and data analytics (Power BI/Tableau).
- Proven leadership experience managing cross‑functional logistics teams.
- Experience with heavy lifting equipment (forklifts 10k‑20k lbs, overhead cranes, rigging practices).
- High‑impact leadership role with visibility to plant and corporate leadership.
