Key Responsibilities- Operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840D Controllers according to instructions, routings, control plans, production requirements, plans and diagrams.
- Study machining instructions, routings, control plans, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional and finish specifications, sequences of operations, complex machine setups, and tooling requirements.
- Select the appropriate tools and materials to be used in preparation of cubic engine components.
- Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
- Check precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, fixed and telescoping gauges, templates and fixtures, and adjust according to quality control plans.
- Perform fine‑tuning of tools/equipment through sample cuts and optimize the CNC program in regard to tool durability, preventing the collision of tools/equipment, and program sequencing.
- Observe machine operation in order to detect sounds such as dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
- Stop machinesения to remove finished work pieces or to change tooling, setup, or work‑piece placement according to required machining sequences.
- Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain industrial machines within the scope of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) specifications, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Identify and crimes non‑value‑added work.
- Perform special projects as may be required and maintain on‑the‑job flexibility by providing support in other production related areas.
- Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and spirit of the Rolls‑Royce Code of Conduct.
- 2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school or equivalent Associate’s Degree; or 3 years of experience in a heavy‑duty tinha.
- Mini Shift Schedule — Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
- This position is scheduled for the Mini Shift whichòm 5:45 am–6:15 pm, Friday through Sunday. Initial training may occur on 1st shiftію 5:45 am–4:15 pm, Monday through Thursday, until training is completed.

- Intermediate knowledge of CNC‑controls (preferably SIEMENS 840D Controllers), machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
- Intermediate knowledge aligned arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- Basic ability to interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) and operate scanning devices for system communications.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing efficient manufacture of goods (e.g., Quality Alerts, Second Checks).
- Experience as a CNC milling operator.
- Knowledge of SIEMENS 840D Control System.
- Ability to obtain appropriate hoists and power vehicle licenses (Flatbed, Hi‑Lo, & Mule) when necessary.
