Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with telemetry experience, CPI certification, and a SC or compact RN license for night shifts.

• Work is performed on a Medical/Surgical inpatient unit
• Unit cares for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week are required
• Telemetered environment with Cerner EMR in use
• No on-call hours required
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Responsible for initial and ongoing patient assessment and documentation
• Delivers age-appropriate, compassionate patient care based on assessment
• Participation in admission assessments is required according to policy
• Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this role
• Two manager or supervisor references from the last twelve months preferred, at least one from the most recent employer
• COVID and flu vaccination required if not medically contraindicated
• Scrubs or dress code requirements will be specified upon assignment

• Active SC or compact state RN license in hand; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital nursing experience as an RN
• At least 6 months of recent telemetry experience required
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing program
• Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• CPI certification (NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training) required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• BSN is highly desired
