Responsibilities
The Nurse Educator is a registered nurse who practices as an expert in a specialized field of nursing. The role involves evaluating and implementing evidence‑based practice, education, and professional development within critical care areas. The educator serves as a clinical resource for the Medical/Surgical units (3M, 4M, 5M) nursing staff for bedside care and focuses on the development of new graduate nurses within the Medical/Surgical departments.
This is a full‑time day shift position at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken, South Carolina—a 273‑bed acute care facility.
• Graduate of an accredited NLN‑approved RN program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required;
Master’s degree in Education preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of recent clinical experience in a Medical/Surgical setting; at least one year of education experience preferred.
• Current South Carolina nursing license or compact state license; BLS and ACLS required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, outcomes orientation, and knowledge of education methods and clinical practice.
