The primary purpose of the Assistant Store Manager is to assist the Store Manager in upholding the daily store operations of a retail store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising execution, managing expenses and inventory, training and development of the store team, human resources management, and outstanding customer service.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
Education And/Or Experience- Minimum of one (1) year in retail management.
- Solid knowledge of business and excellent command of English for effective communication.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to think strategically, plan, and organize effectively.
- Maintain professionalism in all situations.
- Proficient analytical skills for data gathering, problem-solving, and prioritization.
- Results-driven with critical and creative thinking skills; project management and organizational skills required.
- Discretion, confidentiality, and independent judgment with compassion and diplomacy.
- Ability to plan, organize, multi-task, set priorities, and respond proactively to changing demands.
- Ability to execute directives with precision and consistency.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Willingness to work in multiple stores within the district.
- Ability to stand for extended periods; lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Work extended hours during critical phases; adapt to a fast-paced environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Willingness to travel via car, plane, or train.
