Full-Time Weekend & Evening Veterinary Receptionist

City Centre Animal Hospital

Are you passionate about helping people and animals while thriving in a fast-paced environment? City Centre Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate, organized, and motivated Weekend and Evening Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team!

We are currently hiring for a full-time position, but are also open to considering strong part-time applicants with evening and weekend availability.

As one of the first faces clients see when they walk through our doors, our reception team plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and efficient experience for both pets and their families.

Position Details

Responsibilities
  • Providing exceptional client service and support
  • Greeting clients and assisting with questions and concerns
  • Scheduling appointments and managing incoming phone calls
  • Processing payments and handling patient check‑ins / check‑outs
  • Managing emails and client communications
  • Maintaining accurate client and patient records within veterinary software systems
  • Monitoring cleanliness and organization of the reception/waiting areas
  • Assisting with hospital flow and supporting the medical team as needed
  • Escalating urgent or complex concerns appropriately
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
  • Compassion for both animals and their owners
  • Strong teamwork and problem‑solving abilities
  • Previous reception, customer service, or veterinary experience is considered an asset
  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
