Young Engineers Airdrie provides hands-on STEM and engineering programs that encourage children to explore, create, and solve problems through engaging building and coding activities. Our age-appropriate curriculum and fun projects help young learners build essential skills such as creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence. This is a part-time, on-site role located in Airdrie, AB for a Lead Instructor. The Lead Instructor will facilitate STEM-based sessions for children, guiding students through interactive building projects and helping them grasp engineering and innovation concepts. Responsibilities include preparing sessions according to the lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, engaging students in a hands‑on learning environment, and ensuring safety during sessions.

The role also involves collaborating with team members and providing feedback to improve program delivery.

• Experience in teaching, training, mentoring or leading group activities for children
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Knowledge of STEM, engineering concepts, or experience working in educational settings
• Ability to engage children, promote teamwork, and inspire creativity
• Organizational and time‑management skills for preparation and instruction
• Enthusiasm for STEM education and a passion for working with children
• Background in education, engineering, computer science or a related field preferred
• Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and adapt teaching methods. Available on Fridays and weekends
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector is required for all applicants over the age of 18
