Rocky View Schools, a dynamic school division in Alberta, is seeking an enthusiastic Humanities/Indigenous Studies instructor for grades 10-12. This role emphasizes fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment while embodying RVS values of Leadership, People, Community, and Innovation. Candidates must hold or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate and demonstrate a commitment to educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging Humanities and Indigenous Studies curriculum
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student learning
• Support student well-being and academic success
• Participate in professional learning and community activities
Requirements:
• Possession of an Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility
• Current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
• Professional reference from a recent supervisor
• New Graduates can submit a final practicum report
• Comprehensive understanding of Indigenous perspectives
