The OpportunityContinuing part‑time (25 hrs/wk) School Receptionist position at George McDougall High School starting August 27, 2026.
Responsibilities- Provides excellent service to school staff, students and the public, including answering and directing phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
- Greets substitute teachers and substitute support staff and provides necessary resources.
- Prepares, distributes, collects, and categorizes various school forms.
- Accepts, distributes and expedites mail, couriered, and delivered items.
- Completes a variety of clerical duties in a fast‑paced work environment by assigned deadlines.
- Supervises students in the infirmary.
- Supports student attendance as required.
- Supports the professionalism and confidentiality of the school office.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Administrative Professional Diploma or Certificate is considered an asset.
- Previous experience within a school division and/or with Student Information Records Systems is considered an asset.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to establish collaborative working relationships with internal and external clients.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of complex and sensitive issues professionally and in a timely manner.
- Excellent multi‑tasking, prioritization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web‑based applications.
- 6% vacation pay.

- This position is not eligible for the Defined Pension Plan.
