Learning Specialist, Indigenous Education

Position: Full-Time Learning Specialist, Indigenous Education
Shape the future of K-12 education at Rocky View Schools in Airdrie, Alberta, as a Learning Specialist. This full-time role focuses on integrating Indigenous insights into educational practices.

Starting August 27, 2026, you will work closely with educators and school leadership, promoting inclusivity by embedding Indigenous perspectives across the curriculum. Collaboration with community partners is key to enhancing understanding of Indigenous histories and developing culturally relevant educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support educators with inclusivity strategies in classrooms

• Facilitate professional development workshops for staff

• Collaborate with Elders and community representatives

• Design and implement cultural events and projects

• Create resources reflecting Indigenous cultures and worldviews

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years recent classroom experience

• Strong understanding of inclusive educational practices

• Knowledge of RVS strategic educational frameworks

• Capacity to promote Indigenous student engagement

• Eligibility for an Alberta Teaching Certificate
