Learning Specialist

Position: Full-Time Learning Specialist
Elevate student services at Rocky View Schools as a full-time Learning Specialist (K-12) in Airdrie, Alberta. This role focuses on implementing evidence-based support for diverse learner needs.

As part of the Learning Supports team, you will engage across K-12 environments to foster inclusive education and assist in the successful transition of students with additional needs. You will collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance instructional practices and ensure equitable access to resources. Your extensive experience and knowledge of multi-tiered systems of support will be vital in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement RVS’s support services for all students

• Collaborate with educators on inclusive instruction

• Analyze and utilize data for informed practice

• Lead professional learning sessions for staff

• Identify and create inclusive resources for diverse needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years recent classroom experience

• Completed additional post-secondary education in relevant fields

• Experience in crisis intervention and family involvement

• Knowledge of child and adolescent development

• Familiarity with RVS policies and procedures
