Position: Grade 1 Temporary Teaching Role
Join Rocky View Schools as a full-time Temporary Elementary Generalist for Grade 1 at Northcott Prairie School, starting August 27, 2026. This opportunity emphasizes creating inclusive classrooms and fostering student success.

As a temporary educator, you will support students in grades K-9 in Airdrie, focusing on positive learning experiences that encourage belonging and achievement. The position is ideal for enthusiastic teachers, particularly recent graduates who thrive in collaborative environments. Note that this role is not available to those with a Continuing Teaching contract at RVS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement innovative lesson plans

• Maintain a positive and safe classroom atmosphere

• Monitor and assess student learning outcomes

• Work collaboratively with other teaching staff

• Engage in ongoing professional learning

Requirements:

• Hold or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate

• Submit a final practicum report if newly graduated

• Provide a recent professional reference letter

• Submit a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
