Position: Learning Specialist for Grades 7-9
Contribute to student success as a Learning Specialist at Rocky View Schools in Airdrie. This full-time role focuses on literacy, numeracy, and inclusive education support.

Rocky View Schools is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Learning Specialist to join its Learning Services team starting August 27, 2026. The candidate will work closely with teachers to implement the RVS Literacy and Numeracy Framework while supporting EAL learners. A commitment to Indigenizing and decolonizing practices is essential, alongside strong collaboration with educational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support literacy and numeracy interventions for teachers

• Collaborate to design inclusive instruction practices

• Lead professional learning sessions for staff

• Assist schools with curriculum implementation and analysis

• Create culturally responsive resources for diverse learners

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of recent classroom experience

• Eligible for Alberta Teaching Certificate

• Familiarity with RVS Practice Guides and plans

• Effective communication skills for team collaboration

• Experience leading a learning community
