Learning Assistant

Position: Learning Assistant Role
Rocky View Schools is hiring a Learning Assistant for Northcott Prairie School in Airdrie, Alberta. This full-time position will focus on supporting students' diverse educational needs.

You will work collaboratively with school staff to ensure a nurturing environment for students in grades K-9. Responsibilities include implementing individualized strategies, supporting students’ health and independence, and managing emotional regulation. The term runs immediately until June 29, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers to implement student programs

• Record observations related to student behavior

• Promote independence and learning in students

• Support students' personal care routines

• Assist with medical needs as required

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant Certificate or related certification

• Minimum one year of experience preferred

• CPR/First Aid Certification as an asset

• Strong emotional resilience and adaptability

• Good communication and multi-tasking skills
