Divisional Complexity Teacher

Position: Full-Time Divisional Complexity Teacher
Join Rocky View Schools as a Full-Time Divisional Complexity Teacher and make a significant impact on diverse learners. This position focuses on implementing Universal Design for Learning strategies and requires travel between RVS sites.

With a robust teaching background, you will work alongside Divisional Learning Specialists to support diverse educational needs. You should have at least 5 years of classroom experience and specialized expertise in Learning Supports or Inclusive Education. This role involves developing Individualized Program Plans and providing coaching to enhance staff capabilities in managing classroom complexities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies

• Facilitate Individualized Program Plans (IPPs) for students

• Develop positive behaviour support plans for learners

• Utilize data-driven assessments to inform teaching practices

• Collaborate with teams of teachers to build instructional capacity

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of classroom teaching experience

• Specialized expertise in Literacy or Numeracy Coaching

• Knowledge of English as an Additional Language Learners

• Eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate

• Current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
