Support inclusive student development at Ralph McCall School in Airdrie through behavioural programming, classroom observation, and family collaboration.
Rocky View Schools seeks a temporary full-time Child Development Advisor working 35 hours weekly until June 29, 2027. The position supports students experiencing challenges and helps staff provide access to instruction and school life. Work includes student services, behaviour plans, and social skills development.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement programming that creates welcoming, respectful, safe learning environments
- Develop and reassess programs with school teams
- Observe students and develop behaviour plans
- Conduct individual or group student sessions
- Liaise with families, staff, and outside agencies
- Certificate or diploma in social work, psychology, child and youth care, or related field
- One to three years supporting youth in inclusive education is an asset
- Build relationships with students, parents, and RVS staff
- Maintain confidential practices and handle sensitive issues professionally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
