Certification Engineer – Hazardous Locations​/Electro-medical Equipment & Products

QPS Evaluation Services Inc. is a leading Canadian provider of third-party product approval services, serving various customers and industries both locally and globally. We are accredited as a NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Body) and a Third-Party Testing and Certification Body, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, with a state-of-the-art testing laboratory. Our engineering service centres are located across the USA, Canada, and Europe.

We are expanding our Certification and Testing Services and are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Technologist to join our team of technical experts in product testing and evaluation according to CSA, UL, and international standards. We offer comprehensive training and technical support for all Engineers/Technologists.

This position is based in Toronto and may involve local and international travel. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and passport.

• Work with our team of qualified Hazardous Locations equipment and products testing & engineering staff.
• Experience with Hazardous Locations equipment and/or products is an asset but not mandatory.
• Experience with Electro-medical equipment and/or products is an asset but not mandatory.

• Must be an Electrical Engineer or a Certified Electronic Technologist with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Certification and/or Testing of Hazardous Location products.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and computer proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to interact positively with clients and resolve conflicts effectively.
