Transmission Line Engineer Power Delivery WSP

Join WSP as an Intermediate Transmission Line Engineer and lead impactful engineering projects in Edmonton, Alberta. Design high voltage transmission lines that enable renewable energy integration and enhance grid efficiency.

In this role at WSP, you will take charge of technical aspects of transmission line design, from new installations to upgrades. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, optimize project timelines, and ensure sustainable energy solutions for Canadian communities. Your leadership will foster client satisfaction and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct transmission line design projects up to 500kV

• Review and validate design deliverables and materials

• Assess project options and implement solutions

• Oversee project reporting, invoicing, and budgets

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers

Requirements:

• Engineering degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field

• 5-10 years experience with high voltage projects

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)

• Experience with engineering software and project management

• Knowledge of construction standards for transmission lines
