Intermediate Substation Design Engineer WSP

Join WSP as an Intermediate Substation Physical Design Engineer, focusing on medium to high voltage utility substations, supporting renewable energy initiatives in Canada. Leverage your design skills to create detailed packages.
In this role, you will develop comprehensive design packages for substations ranging from 15 kV to 138 kV, with extensive experience in creating one-line diagrams, general arrangements, and technical specifications. You will also calculate critical parameters such as battery sizing and conduit layouts, ensuring precise and reliable deliverables while occasionally traveling as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design medium to high voltage substations with accuracy

• Develop technical documentation and specifications

• Execute calculations for station service and cable sizing

• Lead brownfield and greenfield projects concurrently

• Collaborate with teams to enhance energy resiliency
Requirements:

• 5-10 years of substation design experience

• Proficiency in Micro Station or AutoCAD

• Familiarity with BIM tools like Inventor is an asset

• Engineering degree with P.Eng. or intent to register

• Strong teamwork and community support skills
