Become a key player at WSP as a Senior Substation Physical Design Engineer, enhancing Canada's energy landscape. This role emphasizes designing robust utility substations to advance renewable energy initiatives.
You'll play a critical role in managing detailed substation designs, collaborating with professionals to achieve high industry standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least ten years of experience in utility substation design. You'll ensure strong coordination across disciplines and contribute to achieving project objectives through innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead detailed designs for medium to extra high voltage substations
• Develop and review design criteria and specifications
• Conduct cable sizing and routing for optimal layouts
• Prepare project schedules and cost estimates
• Foster collaboration among engineering teams throughout projects
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional engineering license preferred
• Minimum of ten years in substation design
• Proven ability with IEEE/ANSI standards
• Experience in managing multi-disciplined teams
