Entry-Level Automation Technician Position

Become a Junior Automation Specialist in the Energy sector, focusing on PLC and HMI systems. This role covers programming, controls testing, and documentation support.

Ideal for recent or soon-to-graduate engineers in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics fields. Responsibilities include programming PLCs, conducting tests, and modifying critical documents. Familiarity with programming tools like Visual Basic is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program PLC and HMI systems for controls

• Support the commissioning of various control systems

• Test functionality of electrical equipment rigorously

• Review and update electrical schematics and documents

• Conduct comprehensive Factory Acceptance Tests

Requirements:

• Recent graduate in the engineering field

• Experience in PLC programming is preferred

• Knowledge of P&IDs and Cause and Effect charts

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• APEGA or ASET membership is advantageous
